No effective slurs for members of the upper class

Standard

According to laughingdragon

There are no (effective) slurs for members of the upper class.

A slur is a minor insult, usually based or something you cannot or would not change. It has no power unless you buy into the caste system that produced it. If the person addressed doesn’t, it tends to be ignored or produces puzzlement.

But if a person recognizes themselves as lower in apparent stature than the person pronouncing the slur then the anger is in the fact that the person being disparaged cannot avenge themselves.
